Conscious Design Ethos

Our Focus

All Viktoria & Woods garments are carefully designed in timeless silhouettes with premium fabrications, ensuring they are loved for years to come or handed down with care.

Our Committment

The use of natural fibres rendered into classic silhouettes remains ingrained in our design ethos. As we continue our thoughtful designs, we will increase responsible fabrication use, seeking each collection to be predominately made from our Preferred Fibres. These represent a mix of natural fibres, internationally certified materials and innovative fibres including recycled compositions.

We are committed to an in-house design business model where we can explore new opportunities for improvement in each part of the process. We meticulously consider design and environmental factors across all our production – from trims and linings, to care labels, swing tags, and packaging – adopting a holistic approach. This evaluation assesses the original source of materials, the production process itself, the product's end-of-life impact, and its functionality. By weighing all these factors together, we ensure we create products that are not only exceptional in quality and design, but also in harmony with the planet.

We will continue to increase the longevity of our designs by returning key silhouettes with data driven sales prediction. We remain conscious of responsible end of life and opportunities to increase circularity.

Quality & Care

Continuously optimise our production processes by meticulously evaluating design and environmental factors in each component of the garment to ensure every product is exceptional in quality and in harmony with the planet.

Preferred Fibres

Continue to aspire to over 60% of each collection to be made from our responsible preferred fibres.

Innovation

Trial new and innovative design principles, including circular and end of life considerations. Ensure we continue no fabric to landfill commitment and track impact.

Our Approach

Our preferred fibres are centred around responsibility for people and the planet. We preference fabrics with internationally recognised certifications to ensure a responsible approach throughout the design and production process.

From growing and farming origins, spinning and weaving to dying and treatments. Fabrics have a long and complex journey before they reach your wardrobe. By prioritising certification of fabrics it allows us to have more confidence in the whole process.

Through conscious design we carefully consider multiple opportunities for each garment to ensure we are continually meeting our high expectations of longevity, durability and end of life.
