FASHION DESIGNER

About the role

We are looking for a collaborative and innovative Designer to join our team. One of our talented designers is heading off on maternity leave. We are looking for someone to step into her role in her absence. Happily our business is growing, so we expect there to be an ongoing role for the right person.


The role will encompass:

  • Seasonal forecasting and identifying trends
  • Managing the design process to meet deadlines and agreed margins, ensuring fit and quality
  • Developing mood and range boards
  • Research and design of key pieces and seasonal ranges which complement our garment designs
  • Development of new styles, fabrications and trims
  • Collaboration with the wider design team to deliver a cohesive range
  • A focus on sustainable practices

To be successful you will have:

  • The desire and capacity to drive innovation
  • The capacity to balance creativity with commercial outcomes
  • Experience in a similar role
  • In depth knowledge of fashion trends and trend forecasting
  • A thorough understanding of textiles, garment and accessory construction and applications
  • Experience using Photoshop, Illustrator
  • A tertiary qualification in fashion design
  • The right to live and work in Australia

SAMPLE CUTTER/MACHINIST

About the role: 

We are looking for an experienced sample cutter who can also support our machinists when required. This is a permanent full-time or part-time (Mon-Thurs) role. Our studio is located in Richmond, close to public transport. Salary is highly competitive and we offer generous discounts on our products. This will involve, but is not limited to: 

  • Reading and interpreting patterns for the purpose of cutting, sewing and minor pattern alterations.
  • Sample cutting and operation of industrial electric cutting machine.
  • Garment sample production on industrial machines. 
  • Receiving and maintenance of sampling fabric and trims library.
  • Preparation of fabric and trims for external sampling orders.

Successful applicants will have: 

  • 2-3 years sample or commercial cutting experience (essential)
  • Solid understanding of garment construction
  • Sound understanding of fabrics, leathers and trims
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy 
  • Pattern Making experience would be highly regarded

ASSISTANT STORE MANAGER: CLAREMONT BOUTIQUE

About the role:

We're looking for an Assistant Manager for our Claremont Boutique.

Our next Assistant Manager will be someone who:

  • Is style and customer obsessed and is always striving to create exceptional customer experiences.
  • Has a passion for and experience in building a loyal clientele.
  • Thrives on training and developing their teams

Successful applicants will have:

  • 3+ years prior fashion and/or retail management experience
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to build ongoing rapport with customers
  • Highly efficient with a strong sense of initiative
  • Styling and visual merchandising experience is preferred but not essential
  • Mandarin speaking is beneficial

PART TIME & CASUAL STYLISTS: SYDNEY BOUTIQUES

About the role 

We are looking for casual part-time team members to join the Viktoria & Woods team based in our Sydney boutiques and concession stores. We are looking for people who are style and customer obsessed and are always striving to create exceptional customer experiences.

At Viktoria & Woods we believe in fostering a creative and collaborative culture. Our boutique stylists have a strong fashion and styling focus. They love connecting and engaging with customers to build authentic relationships.
